What Is Grind and Seal

Grind and seal is exactly what it sounds like. We mechanically grind the concrete to expose its natural aggregate and create a smooth, polished surface, then seal it with two coats of polyaspartic for protection and finish.
The result: a clean, minimalist, durable surface that shows off the concrete itself, no flake, no color, just polished slab finished to a premium standard.

How an SCC-Certified Dealer Installs Grind and Seal
Four steps. Done by Advanced-certified SCC dealers.

CONCRETE PREP
Mechanical grinding opens the concrete and creates the polished surface. The level of grind determines the final aesthetic, exposed aggregate, salt-and-pepper, or smooth-cream.

CRACK REPAIR
Cracks and surface defects are repaired so they don’t telegraph through the finished sealer.
STEP 3

FIRST POLYASPARTIC COAT
The base sealer coat is applied, penetrating the concrete and locking the polished surface in place.

SECOND POLYASPARTIC COAT
A second sealer coat creates the final protective layer. Walkable in hours, drivable in 24.
Only SCC dealers who have completed the Advanced installation class are certified to install grind and seal.
